ESP 901
The ESP 901 guitar series was built between 1990 and 1995. Invented as a brainchild of the back then ESP Custom Shop in Düsseldorf, Germany, the guitar was built by ESP in Japan exclusively for export markets.
The goal of this website is to preserve the history of this amazing line of instruments and share knowledge with other ESP 901 aficionados worldwide, as information about this line of guitars is very scarce and production numbers were very limited back then.
The ESP 901 series was made famous by Richard Z. Kruspe of Rammstein who used this model extensively in the early days of Rammstein up until 2002.
Pictured here is Richard Z. Kruspe's second ESP 901 which was featured in Rammstein's video for "Engel", hence the guitar's nickname, "Engel."
